I've seen these listed on amazon for insane prices too ($50 or $60) Right now though they are reasonable at $12.00 per set of 2 (this is the same price walmart charges minus the tax) plus they are having a buy 3 get 4 sale right now! I am paying $4.50 per mat or $9.00 for the set (I've just purchased 20 sets) This price is better then any I've seen anywhere online and considering Joann and Michaels won't accept 40% coupons for them it's better then any price I've found elsewhere. Please comment/respond to my review if you can find a better deal or if amazon is offering a better special or base price :-)

Why is the mat $63.00? they usually run no more than $16. I would not buy this.

This is a steal! As in, you are being robbed if you buy these mats at this price! These sell at craft stores for around $15 for two. Order online from JoAnns or Hobby Lobby. Save your money for more cartridges. I just can't believe the price!

$49.99 is a crazy high price for these mats. Mats are good, price is too high

The cutting mat was a little too sticky when new. It was hard to get smaller cut pieces off without tearing. It did not stay tacky as long as I thought it should last, but I may not be using it correctly. Hopefully, as I use the machine more, it will work more effectively for me.

I use it for ss20 (5mm) and ss12 (3mm) rhinestones and it works perfect. Very easy and fast to stick rhinestones on the dress. Highly recommend it.

Amazon is the only place I was able to find this replacement for our well-used paper cutter.

They don't make my cutter anymore and it is hard to find replacement parts. This works great

I've just replace the mat and blade on my Fiskars rotary trimmer and now it works as good as new. This mat is the flat variety for older trimmers. It fits my trimmer perfectly and the cuts are as smooth as butter.

This was about the only place - on Amazon - I could find the rotary cutter replacement mats that are necessary for the Fiskars rotary paper cutter. What else can I say - they let you do the job! So the kudos are more for the source!

These refills were hard to find. These are flat and fit the older Fiskars paper trimmers.

I have been listening to Gustav Leonhardt's transcriptions of Bach's solo string works for over 30 years, and am always interested in other players' adaptations of these works for keyboard. Winsome Evans's attempt, unfortunately, fails to convince. She plays in what Bruce Haynes would call the "modern" style, with a driving metronomic rhythm. The music does not breathe at all, and the rapid onset of a headache is the result. This sort of playing regrettably reinforces the negative impression that so many people have of the harpsichord. The harpsichord used for this performance also sounds a bit dated. One suspects it still is strung in steel music wire and phosphor bronze, as were many instruments made at that time, including my own. The resulting "fizzy" tone can be improved considerably by restringing with iron and brass and revoicing, not an inexpensive project, but much cheaper than buying a new instrument. The pocket score is a welcome addition for study of these pieces, since it is unlikely that Leonhardt will publish his transcriptions, but ultimately this recording cannot be recommended.

I like the CD set overall (so, four stars) and I enjoy playing some of the pieces in the score on the piano. But, the arrangements and ornamentations (embellishments) don't always sound "correct" to me. Gustav Leonhardt the harpsichordist arranged and recorded some of these pieces. I would have believed if I were told that those arrangements were by Bach himself. The arrangements and ornamentations on this recording I'm reviewing now, unfortunately, aren't on that level. While listening to this recording, I want to skip some of the heavily ornamented pieces because they sound so awkward. If you are an avid fan of arrangements of Bach's works (like me), this recording is worth having. It's enjoyable overall. But, if you are simply a fan of Bach's works, you won't miss this one.

Jehan Kanga is spot on. This is an exhilarating performance by Winsome Evans of her own superb arrangement (or rather, elaboration) for harpsichord of the Bach solo violin partitas and sonatas. These CDs must be heard to be believed. I have no doubt Bach would have been delighted with the result of Winsome Evans' scholarship and artistry.

When I first heard this recording, I froze. There is a precision in articulation, and an emotion that is presented in this work that I could not have believed was possible from a harpsichord. The fast movements are exhilarating beyond belief, whilst the slow movements are spine chillingly beautiful and exquisite. The transcription is prodigious - the recording quality is truely astounding. I am reminded of the 1981 Gould recording of the Goldberg Variations. There is more than half a century of academic research and experience behind this transcription, and it shows. From a purely academic point of view, I found this recording fascinating, as there is a complexity and subtlty to the ornamentation. Her fingers move across the keyboard creating a wash of colour. Inspirational. So Buy It! It should be in every Bach Lover's collection.

As a 30 years plus amateur trombonist, I can say that the alto trombone is not exactly an instrument that I have ever considered my preferred trombone voice. Well, after hearing this CD, while still a die-hard tenor trombone voice affacinado, the next time that someone offers to play their Alto Trombone for me, I will drop what I am doing and come running! This is just a great CD! If you are a "Classical Music" enthusiast, you will find this a very satisfying listen. It is just full of great music, wonderful melodies, and very polished and sensitive sounds. If you are a trombonist looking to hear something a little different, this will prove a very satisfying experience. Finally, whether young or old, if a student of the trombone, studying or hobbyist, this will prove a great introduction to the Alto Trombone and what it can do. I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Hall very recently at a music camp for adult amateur musicians. He is a great communicator, and was very generous with his time. I had the pleasure of hearing him play there, and can tell you that I got just as much satisfaction out of hearing his playing on this CD as I did hearing him play in person. The CD is just full of great musical moments, inspiration, and wonderful sounds. I have never been a great fan of the Alto Trombone as I said above. It sounded just too nasal in quality for my tastes. But, this CD puts that feeling to a rest, at least in this listener's ears. Dr. Hall gets just a great sound that he dispalys throughout the CD. Always just enough vibrato to enrich a very full and rich sound. I have to admit that if I hadn't know otherwise, I might have been fooled into thinking he was occassionally playing on a tenor trombone, at least to my ears. Also remarkable is the virtuosity and control he displays. Particularily in the the highest of high range, Dr. Hall plays with a sound that is full, precise, unstrained and very natural. As I was listening, I could just imagine one of Corelli's contemporary virtuoso viloinists playing at dazzling, and break-neck speed. Dr. Hall easily duplicates this feeling as you listen and you get a great feeling for what this music sounded like, played by the virtuosi of his day. The accompanient of Bass and Harpsicord was also a joy. Harpsicordist Rebecca Bell and Double Bassist Larry Rice do a wonderful job in putting down a continuo that sparkles with the same kind of wonderful energy and panache of that heard in the playing of Dr. Hall. I have never been a real fan of the music of this periond, but can say that I really enjoyed hearing these wonderful musicians work as a team to create a very fullfilling listen. Overall, I really think this CD contains something for everyone, whether occasional listener, music devotee, or instrumental musician. This is a great CD and very deserving of your play. It would be a great addition to anyone's musical library.

I did not purchase this item on Amazon, but I wanted to leave a review. I purchased this item 2 days ago at JoAnn Fabrics. I used it for the first time yesterday. I practiced wood burning with it for about 20 minutes and it got so hot I couldn't hold it. I turned the tool off, let it cool and decided to try a different tip, as it comes with several different tips/points. I got some pliers (as the directions state to use) and attempted to remove the tip. The tip had melted into the tool. I tried and tried, but could not get the tip out of the tool. I contacted the company yesterday and have yet to hear anything back. Needless to say I'm just a little unhappy about paying $16.00 (originally $29.99, but I had a 50% off coupon) for only 20 minutes of practice. BUT I must say that while it was working, it did a good job.

The Versa Tool makes it easy for wood burning, I would recomend it to anyone that wants to start a new hobbie

I'm always looking out for inexpensive artisan supplies that are comparable to professional types. This makes the cut. Sure you could get a variable temp. burner, but you'll put in at least $150 from the start...plus extra for tips. This burner is perfect for the beginners to the advanced type. The only flaw I've found is that it takes some practice to get lighter burn colors (achieved by quickly dragging the tool with less pressure)if you are trying to achieve different values. There are plenty of great tips that come with this burner as well. One thing that other less expensive burners lack is the heat guard (metal ring below the tip) and rubber/plastic finger comfort (it's black on this model) that your non-burned fingers will thank you for. I'm a big fan of this product's function and price.

My 14 yr old daughter bought this and absolutely loves it. Everyone is amazed at the work she could do within days of getting it. It gets really hot. Be careful but its what makes it so good to work with. There are so many attachments, the possibilities are endless. My woodworking father is also very impressed with it.

I bought this on impulse because I'm a tool junkie, and haven't used it yet. I plan to use it for woodburning, but can imagine all kinds of uses for it. I like the fact that it can stamp on wood. Very pleased with the condition of the product and the time it took to arrive.

this is an x-acto brand retractable razor, so the quality is top-notch, as you'd expect from the brand. however, you should note that the retractable button does NOT work like a ballpoint pen. you click the top down to expose the blade and lock it into place, but you must push a smaller button on the side (located directly above the clip)to retract the blade. this actually helps prevent exposing the blade if it was in your shirt or pants pocket. good quality, good product.

This a great DVD to get you started with paintsticks. Look further than Laura's suggestions and develop your own style. I am an English student from the UK and am envious of all the books and DVD's your country has to offer on art, crafts and textiles. This is just perfect for any creative individual as the techniques can be applied to many surfaces. Just enjoy and do it !!

I found this DVD extremely helpful because it's so easy to see and understand these techniques when demonstrated in a video. Truly like going to a class, but better: great teacher in the comfort of my own home! Laura Murray is a fabulous fiber artist, and I love seeing how she really works. After watching this video a few times, I have a lot more confidence and have picked up a bunch of new techniques for working with paintstiks on fabric. Definitely worth the small investment!

I own tons of dvds. My favorite way of learning new techniques. This one is way overpriced for the amount of information that it offers. I was extremely disappointed.

I really love this product. It makes keeping the smaller beads and items separated yet all in one place, unlike most storage containers where you lift the lid and the slightest jostle puts them all together anyway. These really minimize the need for lots of storage space or loss of small containers.
