I loved this item. So many uses for it. However in the item came a dvd to show many ways in which to use it and many other ideas. The dvd that came with mine however did not work at all. I tried my home dvd, my computer and my laptop and still nothing. I contacted the seller but got no response. Now I will contact the actual maker of the product to see about getting the dvd that will work..

Love this product...a lot a fun to make boxes and etc...granddaughters love helping me and I am teaching them how to work the product. The only con is when I am embossing I cannot feel the lines very well with stylus...saw on youtube that you rub a fabric softner sheet over the paper and it will work better...will try this...

This has taken my card making to another level! In particular, the DVD was very helpful and gave some great ideas. My friends who bought the scor-pal are envious of my companion.

I had seen this product used at one of my monthly craft meetings. Although the person who purchased it stated that they could have created their cards, envelopes etc without the Crafter's Companion, I found that the ease of use with the Crafter's Companion makes it easier to create. The video and idea book that came along with it is a great jumping off place to create other items using the inspirations presented.

I purchased the Ultimate Crafter's Companion at the CHA show in Orlando this summer. I had a chance to do a make and take and had so much fun, I decided to bite the bullet and buy it. I also purchased the Rock-a-Blocks, shimmer paper and sprays. So, I have everything. I use it all the time. Yes, there are some things that need to be improved, such as the metal closer that I have already lost (I put some double stick velcro on it). The only thing that really bugs me is when I open it up, I automatically try to open it the wrong side up and the attachments and tools come loose. I agree that they should be snapped in better. However, with the small flaws, I still love it and use it all of the time. Even if I just used it for scoring and folding, it is a real time saver and fun to use. There is still so much I haven't had the time to try yet. I would love to have the new Christmas plates, but I really can't spend the money right now.

This product is better than I imagined! It allows you to include pages of most any type, even shaped ones. Great for all kinds of things, just the way you want it, for a much better price! Great product!

Very pleased with this. It does exactly what is says it will and does it well. I did two albums the first day I got it, couldn't believe how simple and easy to use. The albums look great.

This product is great for anyone to preserve their digital images. The machine permanently binds the pages into a sleek hardcover book. It's lightweight and compact, and it works in a matter of minutes. The results are very high quality.

I have been making my own photobook covers from scratch for years, then tried ordering them online. The online books are nice, but more expensive, and you have less control over the layout. I have made four books so far with the Unibind system, and the finished product looks just as good as the ones I ordered online. It really works just as easily as they say it does. The software, on the other hand, has a few problems, at least on my computer (I run XP). I have only made landscape books, and it prints your photos a little lower on the page than shown on the screen. I had to move all of my images higher to even things out. It also gives me strange error messages sometimes when I open a file. I have to load a different file then go back to it, or restart my computer. On one of my files, a message saying that I am about to delete several pages from my book pops up. Just click "no" if this happens to you, and the book will open with no incident. Other than that, the program is really user friendly. It has an auto layout feature that's fun, and you just drag and drop your pictures onto the page. One more thing- mine came through Adorama Camera, and the box appeared to have been opened before. The package was smashed (but not the outer shipping box), and the photobook cover scratched up. Everything looked unused, but was just rattling around in there with no inner packing to secure it. Fortunately I had already ordered a pack of ten covers, so I didn't need that one (a pack of ten comes in a neat slide out cardboard drawer.) A great product!

This product works like a charm - and the software is not necessary. This thing is so easy to use, there are no moving parts. Just stack either matte or glossy photo paper very neatly, align it in the book, and pop the book in the machine - the color changes when its ready - and thats it! The results are wonderful - a very sturdy album that looks very professional

With this software you can quit buying expensive Cricut cartridges, the synopsis pretty much says it all. It has a user friendly interface and fast and easy scalability. You can download thousands of free fonts and svg (scalable vector graphics) files from the internet and with Inkscape from [...] you can turn almost any clipart file into an svg. Great product, you can also view your Cricut mat in portrait or landscape mode. Buy it you won't be sorry.

I love this program!! I have Sure Cuts a Lot 2 and they've made a lot of improvements. I seriously don't understand why anybody would choose to use cartridges instead!! I've only had it a very short time but so far I have no complaints. I'll be sure to post back if my opinion changes but I doubt it will!

I have had SCAL 1 for one year. I love it!!!! And, with the help of the program Inkscape (FREE download) there isn't ANYTHING I can't cut. No more cartridges! There are lots of helpful tutorials on web (for free) for Inkscape and SCAL...check [...]. Both give free SVG files almost on a daily basis that you can cut on Cricut using SCAL. SCAL 2 has just come out today for the Mac..which is what I have. I can't wait to try it. I'm sure it will have a few bugs until they straighten them out.

I love the software because it saves me money from not having to buy font cartridges for my cricut. I have already used it on several occasions. The directions are a little confusing for a "non" computer person.

I saw some videos on the SCAL software and decided that I had to get a Cricut machine and this program. I wanted a machine anyway, but wasn't willing to pay so much for the machine and then pay so much for each individual cartridge, that only had a limited number of images and fonts. So, I got my Cricut Personal Electronic Cutter machine and played with it a little to make sure that I liked it and then ordered this software. My hubby downloaded the newest firmware from the Cricut website by doing the trial of their software (because you have to have a certain edition of the firmware for the SCAL program to work on your machine) and we were good to go. I do wish that the software would have come with an instruction booklet, but everything you need to know can be found on the internet, so it's not that big of a deal. I actually have found some really nice free dingbats just by doing a search for free svg files on the internet. This is really the best way to go if you aren't wanting to spend a ton of money. It's really easy to use after you get it installed. I hope this helps=)

I bought this thing as a slide show maker it doesn't even compare with Microsoft movie maker and it came free with my windows software!!!

I love to do photo books. I enjoy the on-line programs (particularly Shutterfly). But, I wanted more creative control over the lay-outs, fonts, etc. In addition, I liked the thought of working off-line. I have created "pages" in Photoshop. But, Photoshop, does not offer many templates nor a place to "store" all of your pages within one area. Also, I wanted to have the option to print this as a photo-book when completed. The My Memories suite is exactly what I was looking for. It offers a number of Templates and Themes to get started. After that, you have complete control to change background papers & fonts. You can change many elements within the templates. For example, you can add a text box or an extra picture box, enlarge or delete any of the photo boxes on the page, etc. I am still new to this product. Therefore, I am still learning how to best use it. On the downside, I wish that it were a bit faster to respond. I have not yet ordered a photobook from the site. Therefore, I cannot comment on the quality of the output. But, so far, I am a satisfied customer. I would recommend this product.

I talked to the people at Polaroid and they assured me that this software could easily produce slide shows. It seems that it was made to produce albums, and in spite reading over one hundred pages of the manual and being far from an amateur at this sort of thing, I have not been able to produce an acceptable slide show. I would rate this software and the manual as poorly thought out.

If you are interested in saving memories for your family, but can't stand a mess or don't have time to learn a photography software, this is the perfect software for you. I bought this software about nine months ago because I had used Smilebox, but wanted more diversity. This digi-scrapping software took all the guess work out of making my own layouts. I have been fully immersed in the world of digital scrapbooking since I bought My memories suite-- I add kits from all over the internet to use for my layouts and have made over 400 pages in just nine months!!! The biggest drawback about this software is that people are not talking about it enough. I have recently found the facebook community, which has offered tons of ideas. There are also a few great video tutorials that have helped me learn how to use this software in more diverse ways. The website is offering a lot more lately, too. Seriously--If you are interested in making scrapbooks on the computer, there is no better software than this. I have Photoshop Elements and this is so much easier!! I occasionally use Photoshop to edit my pictures (because I am super picky about how pictures look for my books), but do EVERYTHING else in My Memories Suite. Totally worth the money--I have recommended this to all my friends and have given it to several family members.

This product is by far the best digital scrapbooking program I have ever used! It is extremely flexible, whether you are starting out as a beginner or just looking for a program that you can use to GET THINGS DONE! It offers quite a large number of items that come along with the software purchase, and gives an extensive Design Gallery for additional items you may want to add later on. I have ready the other reviews and honestly don't know what their hang-ups were, because I have used it for MULTIPLE slide-shows and have had *fantastic* results! I used it at the end of school last year to create a wonderful slideshow for an end of the year gift for the two orchestra directors at my son's school. The albums (that I printed at home) were amazing and had wonderful pictures from the entire year. Both directors stopped in the middle of the banquet presentation to flip through the pages! Then to make it EVEN better, I was able to create a WONDERFUL slideshow presentation from the hours of work I had already done! This slideshow was awesome. This program offers you the ability to set your whole show to music, and I was able to add many pieces that the orchestra had played throughout the year to make it really special. I got RAVE reviews at the banquet! And, the cherry on top, was that I was able to burn the slideshow to a DVD for each of the students so they were able to take this whole presentation home with them! It made a very special gift that every member of the orchestra could be included in, for the very small price of the cost of a DVD for each one! It was amazing to be able to make such a wonderful gift for each student! And, don't even get me started on how much I love the albums I have created for friends and family. I have been able to COMPLETE - started to printed more than 8 whole ALBUMS this year alone! That is unheard of in my traditional scrapbooking days! This program is on my laptop and goes everywhere I go! I have scrapped on the go, or when I am waiting for my kids at rehearsals. It has allowed me to create wonderful gifts for my Mother and do wedding albums for BOTH my sisters for their birthday's this year! It is awesome! They also have a great page on Facebook where people can post their pages and share ideas and get questions answered! I just can't say ENOUGH about how great this program is. It has a wonderful interface that is incredibly easy and intuitive and doesn't take long to get the hang of. I would recommend (highly) this product to any age or skill level. It has an ease of use for a beginner and enough meat and flexibility for someone more advanced. It is AWESOME!!! 5 stars all the way! L Campbell

Not any really helpful tips on how to design your own scrapbook pages, but is really just a book of page sketches and how to use them. If you simply want to copy someone else's ideas for your own scrapbook pages, then this is the book for you. To give the author credit, she does tell you that you can take the sketches as inspiration and change as needed to fit your photos. But who doesn't know that already? There are too many websites where you can simply download sketches. The sketch cards are nice, but I have made my own in the past with heavy duty laminated cardstock and a crop-a-dile. Not so sure yet if I am going to keep the book. The book is really just a nicely packaged group of about 60 sketches that you can use for your own work. I think that most people like the book because it has the cards.

This book is okay, but not for the money. It is just a fancy packaged, overpriced Idea book. I like that it is spiral bound (Similiar to Becky Higgins Creative Companion. I had to make sure it was her that had not written it)and a good quality book and the cards in the back are a nice touch. The down side is there are only 60 layouts and then there are about three different pictures of each layout all by a different artist so you get the feel of different perspectives. Everything is similiar to what I would see in some of the most popular scrapbooking magazines without all the advertisements. The sketch pictures are super small compared to the picture of the actual layouts. In a coupe of years this will be terribly outdated! If I was looking for just an idea book this would be great, but I was wanting more of a sketch idea book! If that is what you are looking for, don't go here. If ideas are what you want, then subscribe to a magazine!!! If you are looking for just sketches, the Page Patterns Just Plain Simplicity are the way to go!!

I love this book. The pages are beautiful and very inspiring. I also love the cards that you punch out in the back of the book and have used them many times for ideas. This is a must have book.

Becky Fleck's book is amazing and has changed the way I scrapbook. I am so pleased with my new style. I highly recommend this book.

I have really enjoyed this book, and have bought it for several friends as well. What's great about it are the cards in the back- they are so easy to use when you are scrapbooking! When I go to retreats, my friends end up borrowing my cards!

Great book, with a lot of illustrations and useful information. Gives a lot of ideas and it is very well organized.

All of Lynton's layout books are awesome. Just picking it up and thumbing through, I can come up with an idea for a layout that would've taken me hours otherwise. I purchased them all!

Like all my other reviews on Jeanette Lynton's ho-to programs, this is another thumbs up! The cutting guides are easy to follow, the artwork is amazing and the tips throughout the book are very useful. Yes, I do own every one of her how-to programs... lol

I was getting such with coming up with ideas for my pages and I just love this book. I already "Cherish" and loved it so I thought I would try this one too. Love them both!

I like the examples on each page; especially with the use of the embellishments ie twine, hooks, etc. That is why I bought this book, to help me use the different embellishments in my albums. I also like the fact that no two pages are alike, there are many pages that are different to help a person be more creative with their current paper and embellishments.

Of all the how-to programs by Jeanette Lynton, I have to say Reflections is my favorite but Cherish is definitely a very close second. This one contains two page layouts. I also own Imagine, but between Imagine and Cherish I do grab Cherish most often. Great book, easy to follow cutting guides, artwork is amazing of course! And the tips included are great.

I am a casual scrapbooker - maybe I'll put together a page or two a year. The last thing I want to do is agonize over the layout, or have to design an original layout. And I certainly don't want to have to run to the store and buy stamps, stickers, and other accessories to make an impressive page. Cherish makes scrapbooking simple. Find a page with similar size photos, rotate if they are the wrong orientation. Substitute elements - small photos, purchased embellishments, or just coordinating papers. It's easy to customize these pages. Best part about it - it's simple, quick and easy. But all of the layouts are impressive - even solid colored cardstock layered with photos makes an impressive page.

I teach scrapbooking to people from 10 - 80. This bok is easy for all to follow.
